Russian VAT rates in 2026
From 1 January 2026 the standard VAT rate in Russia was raised from 20% to 22%. The reduced and special rates remain in place:

How VAT is calculated
Add VAT on top (net → gross): VAT = amount × rate ÷ 100. At 22%, for 1000 ₽ the VAT is 220 ₽, gross 1220 ₽.
Extract VAT (gross → net): VAT = amount × rate ÷ (100 + rate). At 22%, from 1220 ₽ the VAT is 220 ₽, net 1000 ₽.
